Hometrace Photo Analysis AI examines uploaded inspection photos together with the relevant report structure and existing notes. It can propose visible findings, spec values, and photo placements, but the inspector reviews, edits, accepts, or dismisses the output.

How it works
A manually triggered, review-first workflow
The inspector chooses when and where analysis runs. Bulk analysis covers the inspection structure, while inline analysis focuses on one spec or finding.
Capture and upload photos
Take photos in the mobile app or add them from the web dashboard, then let the selected photos finish syncing to cloud storage.
Choose the analysis scope
Trigger bulk analysis for the inspection or inline analysis for a particular spec or finding.
Review structured suggestions
Check each proposed finding, spec value, confidence cue, and photo attachment against the property and your own notes.
Accept, edit, or dismiss
Keep useful suggestions, correct wording or severity, change photos, and remove anything that does not match your professional judgment.
What to know
A photo never has the full inspection context
The model can reason only from the images and report context it receives. It cannot perform hands-on tests, see conditions outside the frame, or decide how a concern applies in a local jurisdiction.
- Photo analysis is opt-in and runs only after the inspector triggers it.
- Photos must upload before the server can analyze them.
- Suggestions can be incomplete or wrong and require inspector review.
- Each analysis use counts against the account monthly analysis quota.
