Welcome to Hometrace. These terms of service ("Terms") explain your rights and responsibilities when using our home maintenance platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Using Hometrace
Hometrace helps homeowners and inspectors track appliance information, manage maintenance tasks, and connect with contractors. You may need to provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, and property details to use the service. Keep your account credentials secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
Certain features require a paid subscription processed through Stripe. We will display pricing before you purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your plan at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Fees are non‑refundable except as required by law.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Hometrace only for lawful purposes. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access other users' information without permission. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform.
4. Intellectual Property
All content and software associated with Hometrace is owned by us or our licensors. You may use the service only as permitted in these Terms and may not copy or redistribute our software or content without permission.
5. Disclaimers
Hometrace provides maintenance suggestions and reminders for convenience. We do not guarantee that following these suggestions will prevent damage or ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements. Use your own judgment and consult professionals when necessary. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Hometrace and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email. By continuing to use Hometrace after changes take effect, you agree to the revised Terms.
