Feature guide
Give buyers a clear path from your website to a booking request
A Hometrace Site is a hosted public website for an inspection company. The inspector controls branding, services, service area, team profiles, reviews, sample reports, scheduling, optional price quotes, custom buttons, and an optional custom domain.
Who it is for
For inspectors who want the public site connected to operations
The site is useful for solo inspectors and teams that want buyer-facing services, scheduling rules, quotes, and booking requests to use the same settings as the inspection workflow.
Company and service pages
Configure branding, inspector or team details, certifications, services, a service area, reviews, sample reports, and contact information.
Structured booking requests
Buyers can submit property and scheduling information that appears as a booking request for the inspector to confirm, decline, or follow up on.
Optional automatic quotes
When the inspector has complete pricing rules and enables quote display, the booking flow can estimate a total from property details and selected services.
How it works
Build the site from operational settings
Hometrace separates public presentation from the underlying service, scheduling, and pricing configuration so the inspector can control both.
Set identity and services
Add the company name, images, colors, inspector details, public services, descriptions, and service-area information.
Configure scheduling
Choose whether buyers can request inspections, then set the booking mode, availability, slot length, notice window, and weekend rules.
Choose whether to show quotes
Build pricing rules in Services and Payments, then enable public quote display only after required inputs and ranges are complete.
Review the public experience
Publish intended reviews and samples, check buttons and domain setup, and test the site and booking path while logged out.
What to know
A request is not an automatically confirmed appointment
Public scheduling collects structured booking requests. The inspector still confirms, declines, or follows up, and an automatic price appears only when the configured rules have enough information.
- The service-area section is buyer-facing copy; it does not enforce booking availability by itself.
- Services must be saved and selected for public display before they appear on the site.
- Automatic quotes stay unavailable when required pricing or property details are missing.
- Reviews and sample reports should be made public only when the inspector intentionally approves them.
