Adding Your First Property

Once you've created your Hometrace account, the next step is to add your property. This guide will walk you through the process.

Step 1: Navigate to Properties

  1. Log into your Hometrace account
  2. Go to the Properties section from your dashboard
  3. Click Add New Property

Step 2: Enter Property Details

Basic Information

  • Property Address: Enter your complete address
  • Property Type: Select from single-family, condo, townhouse, etc.
  • Year Built: This helps us understand your home's maintenance needs
  • Square Footage: Optional but helpful for planning

Additional Details

  • Number of Bedrooms: Affects HVAC and other systems
  • Number of Bathrooms: Important for plumbing maintenance
  • Basement/Crawl Space: Impacts moisture and HVAC considerations
  • Garage: Affects door and opener maintenance

Step 3: Set Preferences

Maintenance Notifications

  • Email Notifications: Choose frequency and types
  • SMS Alerts: For urgent maintenance items
  • Calendar Integration: Sync with your preferred calendar
